Young Adult Speaks!

The picture says it....Mr. Young adult  (that’s what we say in US :))...loves his Clam chowder and believe it or not one of his concern was do they have this in India???

Well, I really didn't know my mom was writing a blog until my annoying brother started jumping on my back screaming “get up get up mom wants you to write an article!!”
Like you, I would imagine somebody screaming and jumping on you is not the best way to get up at 7:00 am, but if an article is what she want’s that’s what she’ll get.

The flight was not all that bad.... except for the service at Frankfurt (we stopped there for a 3 hour layover.) We had to clear security and this uptight lady was giving us looks and just being a snob to her fellow workers. I started to put one of our handbags on to the conveyer belt when she yelled “HAND BAGS HAVE TO GO IN TRAYS!”
This goes on with her yelling at my mom for putting her jacket in with her computer and her shoes in with mine... interrogating my backpack like I had put a bomb in it when all there was was a few gadgets  (the list goes on but I won’t bore you and continue the story)  After the security check-in, my mom was cursing under her breath and I don’t blame her I would do it too.
We were pretty hungry ! (of course I am NOT going to eat that airplane food!)
there was McDees close by so we sleepily strut over. At first I realised that everything was extremely expensive. if I convert what I ate into US money it would have been $7.50 for a sausage Mc muffin...but hunger takes the lead and I make mom buy it. Later I find out that people weren’t generous. I go up to the lady at counter and ask for some water and ketchup and she replies: “you have to PAY for these things” WHAT!!!!!!!!!! this was FREE in the US!!!!. “Oh” I reply and walk back to my table and repeat the story and I get the same shocking look from my family.
When we finally got to Mumbai immigration took for ever. We were standing in line for an hour before we got out of there. Baggage claim was the same. We were there for another hour and not to mention the dogs (Did I even mention we traveled with the dogs? well to clarify we did with two of our puppies Bella and Bitsy)
Also they ran out of trolleys! so we hired All these porters to hand carry our 9 bags (including handbags) outside. When I saw my aunt outside of the airport, I sighed a sigh of relief and the 35 hour journey was over!!

Visit again to read ramblings of this young writer about to celebrate his 12th Birthday in Pune, India!
